Start with a hot dog....they come as a pair so you can share. Then have a bbq brisket sandwich or anything as everything is great. As for the ribs, they are too dry for me and I prefer the ones at Houston's. The place is great because it is what it is. Ask to sit downstairs. We often go to Virgil's after the theater as we can walk there and then easily get a taxi home afterwards. By the way, the smoked potato is an "acquired taste".

Our first food visit to New York started with BBQ at Virgil's. Who would have dreamed we would go to New York for BBQ, but it's worth the trip. Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful.

Great service and excellent bbq!!... Just about everything is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I went here before a show one night and was not disappointed at all. I will def try to go here again!!
