Vito and Nick's Pizza is the best South Side Chicago pizza institutions. Grew up going there and I still go there. Forget everything else but the pizza and beer. The retro decor only makes the place cozier. Great tasting thin crust pizza that has enormous flavor. The staff there are older but their personalities are cute. The food is so cheap in price one can't help feel that customers are taking advantage of them, instead of the other.

Thin crust pizza was excellent. Sausage beef " Jason's favorite" was huge - enough for 3 people. We thought the sausage was a bit dry- definitely not a greasy sausage. I quit like the decor - very retro. The colored light fixtures were fun. Bathroom (ladies) was clean and retro as well. Service was excellent. Great hole in the wall in an unexpected place.

Went after seeing on Diner's Drive ins & Dives. Interesting take on Italian beef pizza, but the decor let a lot to be desired. Get out of the '50s.

Pizza cannot be beat and the service is very good. The place could use some remodeling.
