I won't say you get what you pay for - unless you are paying for the ambiance (koi river!) and to be in a popular spot in boys town. Solid sushi here. Stick with the regular miso though, IMO. And make sure your mom has a martini, knocks it into the koi pond, and watch the fish lap it up!
Drink away the long wait at the bar
My favorite sushi in the city. The wasabi noodle appetizer is amazing. The atmosphere makes the whole experience.
Very good sushi, at slightly above average prices. Service is attentive though they are not very helpful for diners seeking advice. Cocktails from the bar in their side room are excellent.
When it first opened, Wakamono was an incredible BYOB gem of a Japanese restaurant. In the last year, however, each visit makes me less and less likely to return. Smaller portions, lower quality fish, and less personable service will inevitably formulate its doom.
