My family are frequent visiters to the White Horse. The restuarant/pub always delivers from their dinners., lunches and to brunch. Great menu, food, desserts and the best waitstaff in Connecticut hands down. Highly recommended for all occations. From spring to early fall you can enjoy great outdoor dinning on the pubs two patios along a scenic brook. Enjoy the great interior decor also which is displayed throughout the White Horse.. Growing up in Fairfield County, I've had the pleasure of dining at some wonderful places from the five star french restaurants to great hole in wall places. Living in Woodbury now, my love and I have visited every restaurant in Woodbury, Litchfield, even Lake Waramag, this place has excellent prices with hearty food that will leave you feeling very satisfied. Definately exceeding our expecations for what some call pub food.

We live in greenwich Ct. so this restaurant is a destination place for us, we found it through the magazines, it's on all the critics best of lists, and rightfully so. It is always packed to the gills, and it never disappoints. Food delicious,the ambience and decor superb, gracious and attentive service from the owners and waitstaff. We constantly come back, with our friends, for the delicious and memorable food and wonderful atmosphere.

I went to the White Horse with a group, hearing great reviews, about time a cool restaurant hit Litchfield County. I had the Filet Mignon with Lobster Bernaise and it was AMAZING, also had seafood bake it tastes like Summer and Heaven all at once. Service is attentive, never wanted for anything. Finished the meal with the Duchess Cake it sent endorphins surging thru brain with each bite - ecstasy.

The food delicious, the ambiance and decor superb, but the key ingredient is the gracious and attentive service from the owners, to the waitstaff and chef. Their lamb shank was so tender that it fell apart in your mouth, as you ate it, and the signature burger is a juicy, succulent treat of a burger. Unforgettable.
