A UES fixture since 1921, this "popular", family-owned shop supplies the neighborhood with delicate tea sandwiches, baked potato thins and other "staples"; tabs can be steep, and there's "no place to sit" in the counter-serve space (it's takeout or catering only), but addicts insist the garlic mayo is "worth a walk from anywhere."
