What a dream of a find in the Litchfield Hills! The food here is nothing short of creation in motion ... innovative cuisine with just the right touch of flair. A bit on the formal side for this "neck of the woods", however, the flip side is that one gets to enjoy a Park Avenue gastronomic experience in an idyllic country setting whether you reside in the Hills or are simply escaping to them.
Beautiful property and great old colonial house. Fare was quite good, and wine list solid. For the price, I might expect just a little wider menu selection.
The old rule applies, the more money you spend, the less food you get. Certainly well-prepared in an idyllic country setting. Top marks to service and presentation. Not an every-night place.
expensive and odd place but it's ok as an occasional destination
Out of this world hotel/restuarant. Definitely try and stay the night in of the very special cottages
