In five visits I've not once had a less than stellar experience. WK does everything right, from the amazing food to the completely original, and 100% Baltimore decor. The menu is always new and exciting, with great non-alcoholic drinks, desserts that deserve their own separate review, and "best in the city" coffee. From soup to nuts, Spike does everything right.
They need to come off their high "local sourced" horse and get real.
It's no wonder Spike and Amy have failed with their previous 3 Baltimore Restaurants with their incredible arrogance.
We will no longer dine at WK and tollerate their ever ridiculous pricing that hides behind the "organic" & "local sourced" vail...
It's a shame the good culinary talent that deserves all the credit for the food is going to be run aground by owner a
The food has never been bad anytime I've been here. Brunch is just as good as dinner too. The only downside is the longer then usual wait time for your food but that's OK as it gives you time to take in the building and it's unique features. Just make sure to have a reservation as they fill up quick.
Excellent food, decor and service in this appealing restaurant set in an attractive adaptive-reuse mill complex in Baltimore. We liked the deviled eggs, cheese flat, iced oysters, melting cheeses, but were disappointed somewhat in the uninteresting treatment of the "oven rockfish." The chocolate brownie, apple tart and blondie sundae were very enjoyable.
Great fresh ingredients. The shrimp and polenta was fantastic as well as the vegan eggplant dinner.
