Broad menu=decent, but average food. It seems like every host/hostess (both in person and on the phone) is trained to be haughty (servers, however, tend to be nice and accommodating). Sorry, but this is Litchfield county bistro fare, not white tablecloth Manhattan. Get over yourselves.

Emphasis is on pretension, probably due to the boarding schools nearby. Food is good but would be better if the emphasis was on the quality rather than the type of client?le

The locals discovered The Woodland years ago but kept it quiet. The food is great, and who would have thought that you could find terrific sushi in Litchfield County - well you can! It's a super dependable place but don't think of going without a reservation, even in the dead of winter.
