Visited as part of a Birthday celebration. The meal and the service were very nice - attentive but not obtrusive. Enjoyed every moment.
A long a waited trip to the Woodward House. So very disappointed! The waitress was not informed of the menu, could not answer questions about the menu. After ordering the cod wrapped in puff pastry with mushrooms she asked " how would you like that cooked?" Well we should have said "properly". The pastry was soggy and chewy, the cod was cooked fine but was lacking in taste. The quinoa was bland. Will not revisit! No one asked "how was your meal?"
Our new most favored place for 'special occasions'. Worth the trip and the price. For an even more intimate event, request the Chef's Room.
Meh. Underwhelming. The quality of the ingredients was top notch, but far too many of them appear in each dish. Flavors and textures fight with each other, and salt is nowhere to be found. A wine list featuring bottles for $25 is a great idea, but fails in execution when the first two chosen are not in stock. Service was pleasant but slow, and it seemed as if the kitchen could not keep up on a Saturday night.
As good as it gets. Adele and Jerry have created and maintained a charmingly beautiful environment, a world class menu of exquisitely prepared food. Given their lack of competition, I am more than grateful for their dedication to quality, professionalism and unique, satisfying cuisine of their own making. Never less than wonderful.
