Visited Downtown location for lunch date with spouse with great reluctance after having visited Gessner location years ago & were happily surprised by the more recent experience. Food was delicious (unlike Gessner experience where food was nearly inedible). Nice ambiance, but service was extremely slow. Will return but be prepared for a lengthy wait for food & bill. Additional waitstaff during busy times would make this more enjoyable spot.
We like American Chinese food such as PF Changs. This was better. Won Ton Soup fantastic (4 dumplings ($3.50). Wife had hot and sour soup and was also very good. Chicken Teriyaki, Basil Shrimp, and Beef w/oyster sauce and asparagus were great. If you are looking for Chinatown quality, this is more americanized. But, the quality of food is outstanding. Very happy, will come back.
Saw the Yao family very nice. food below average. I will not visit again. soup average. I drove 50 miles to try the restaurant, very over rated by many.
A real surprise! Who would think that a Chinese restaurant owned by an NBA star would produce such excellent food and polite, efficient service. Of course, Yao IS Chinese. Much better than average Chinese.
Cute restaurant. Food was bland. Not worth the price.
