Zambrano's is a small place where the wine takes pride of place over the food, but we discovered last night that the food is interesting too. Cef Zambrano is a most affable and knowledgeable host. We enjoyed a 2005 Pahlmeyer Chardonnay, so reminiscent of Meursault, and a 2003 white Hermitage. Both married beautifully with plates of escargot, ahi tuna, Serrano ham, pate, and a variety of cheeses. We will be back to enjoy Cef's hospitality.
Quaint and personal experience. Food quality and variety were exceptional for such a small establishment.
"Friendly owner Cef Zambrano is a terrific host, and the wine list always has some gems. Food is surprisingly good, and they also offer wine on retail."
Fantastic selection of wines. A good stop Downtown before of after dinner.
Great place for super wines and small plates.
