Very good Chinese outside NYC.
Fresh vegetables [you often seeing staff preparing them] and seafood are the best choices on this menu. Food is simply but authentically prepare. While the restaurant is very gloomy, the delicious food, offered at a bargain price is reason enough to eat there. The manager and his wife are always helpful. The staff are always in a hurry and look miserable, but the food never fails to be great.
Reliable, though not authentic, Chinese cuisine in a station-side location. The room is basically a barn, and the servers are completely disaffected. But if you are interested in a good Chinese meal without any fuss, this place delivers.
Very good chinese food, with excellent and sizeable drinks. Accomodates children easily.
A very simple "Chinese style" decor located in a non-assuming mini-mall next to the Old Saybrook Train Station. Don't be fooled by the casual look, the food is outstanding. A great selection of both Japanese and chinese offerings. The tempura is excellent, nicely done cold noodles and don't miss the General TSO Chicken. For the true Japanese palate start with the seaweed salad and some sushi (very fresh!). The cost is higher than one would expect, but the food is well worth it.
