Dan's Papers - First, it is one of the most beautiful, open, airy - dare I say "Hampton-y" - restaurants out here, Ziggy's offers great beachy drinks like the Montauk Mojito, Jolly Roger martini, Grapefruit Crocodile with Ruby Red Absolute - plus a selection of good, reasonably priced wines by the glass, and, thank you, a non-alcoholic beer. The food at Ziggy's is very fresh and simple. I love this place Ziggy's is a totally the coolest place.
I have eaten at Ziggy's almost every weekend since it opened ( I love the decor) and the food was great but in the last few months has gotten stellar. Their hummus and kabobs are deliscious and You cannot beat the burger anywhere out here- the portions are huge. My only issue is having to wait on the weekends for a table and the bar crowds that are forming for the bar/patio. The nachos are a foot high /the ritas STRONG! Could go on...
from Jetsetreport.com - Ziggy’s is a surf-chic restaurant and cafe that lures lunchy locals and walk-in dinners. The type of beach food you’d expect to find in a chic urban-oriented beach eatery, an all-day lunch and dinner menu is divided by bold-font categories like Bob’s Kabobs, Fat Boy Burgers, Big Surf Salads and Lil Things. Standout appetizers include a spicy version pita and hummus, peel n’ eat shrimp, colossal-size nachos and chx wings.
I really wanted to love this place but the food is grade school cafeteria bad. My three year old refused to eat her pasta - when I tried it the marinara tasted of nothing but dried oregano and the pasta was overcooked. Kids burger was wafer thin. Veggie kabob blackened and tasting of nothing but gas. cous cous heavy, israeli salad boring. Nice staff and great looking place again I wanted to love it.
