Just a little gem of a bistro. Escargots in a garlic-parsley butter sauce, Wonderful dorade under a wispy potato crust and a lovely sauce, superb moules marieniere , tiny little tender morsels that melt away in a sea of divine broth, flavor wafting up through the nose, and profiteroles to die for. A superb little place with cozy tables and great service. Worth a journey.
A velvety cream of fresh mushroom soup followed by a churasco of veal tenderloin with a chimichuri sauce, salmon grilled to perfection crispy outside, moist and tender inside. Perfect flan. Dolores is a delicious bargain, with wine at $14 for a bottle of decent cabernet. This place is a winner with good food, reasonable prices and an eye candy chic crowd A real fun spot, set in an historic building.
Good original comfort food. The fried chicken had a distinctive taste and the Atlantic seafood reminiscent of New Orleans, was chock full of shrimp, clams, mussels and bore a flavorful broth. The waitstaff, attentive and friendly, saw to it that we were well served. As an old fellow, I enjoyed the trendy Sobe atmosphere and the beautiful women parading their wares. A bit expensive, however.
Overpriced for ueven and mediocre food. The wines listed nothing decent under $60. Fish was a thin slice of disappointment and the pasta with shrimp was something out of a cookie cutter Italian restaurant. The steak, wet aged, was ok but not extraordinary. In all, another pretentious wannabe that nowhere approaches expectations. One to avoid.
