Ok so its a monthly car payment and then some for a couples dinner but I have yet to have a bad experience here. The food is oustanding, the service friendly, professional and attentitive and the setting....flawless. We ate there for the third time a week ago and once again they exceeded my expectations. There are some great places to eat on the island but if you want that special--never forget night out, I still feel The Cliff is the best

Very good food although service was slow but very friendly and accomodating. Menu offers some interesting choices and hit the spot for a late breakfast or early lunch. Menu is creative offering choices for the simple and plain to the little more adventuresome. Definetly a good spot to grab a casual lunch or breakfast.
Like many I have lived in the NYC area for a long time & finally made the pilgrimage to Peter Luger & was underwhelmed. The steak was excellent (not the best I have had) however I was unimpressed by everything else. Service was good; far from great and the setting was pedestrian&worn. I love a good steakhouse but despite its history, Peter Lugar's will most likely be a one & done deal for me.

Started in the cocktail lounge which is classy, comfortable and cozy although service was intially slow. We then headed to "The Upstairs" where we were met by some of the best service we have ever had in the city. The setting was elegant & comfortable and the food was very good(short of excellent). The service however made the evening and left little to be desired in the end.
