An average sandwich, that's all. Scant evidence of five-spice seasoning or pickling of the vegetables on my average-sized pork belly. Bread not particularly large or crisp, but satisfactory. Ubiquitous sriracha bottles should not be a substitute for flavor. Prices are fairly high when compared with Vietnamese sandwich shops near Chinatown. If you are already in the Village, fine; if not Citibike to Grand St.
Brick, glass, wood surfaces make it a loud experience. Tight spacing adds to the shouting effect. Food is not evenly prepared at this point. Grilled octopus can be great or too charred and dried out on plates delivered minutes apart. Service is efficient and pleasant. Interesting wine list.
