exceptional lunch entrees, when you go for the daily specials. they do fish very well, perfectly done, not overcooked. I had oven baked cod on a bed of asparagus and cipoline onions with pureed morel mushroom sauce. spectacular. attentive service, but not intrusive. go between 12 and 1 if you want to avoid the crowds.

go for the skirt steak and the duck entrees. tasty, well priced, correctly cooked and good portions (read:not tiny). chocolate desserts are delicious. wine list tends to Europe, but well constructed.

Fleur de Lys is definitely old school SF dining, one of the few remaining elegant meals in the city. Classic preparation abound on the menu, with food cooked to perfection. Try the wine pairings with the meals as each dish has its own special pairings, unlike other restaurants which have a choice of red or white throughout the meal. The Dungeness crab salad is always a winner as is the lamb. Game is a big feature as well with the vension a winner

Wow! What a great addition to the SF restaurant scene (although around for a year). The "little toast" starters are superb, but don't over-order up front. The portions are HUGE from start to finish. The lamb dishes are always a winner, with the spring lamb this time of year particularly tasty. The Mediterranean/Greek influences across the ever changing menu are subtle and creates a wonderful underlying set of spices for all the dishes.
