Aaron Burr's carriage house fits for a elegent dining experience with candle lit tables, numerous beautiful paintings, a live pianist and random gravestones in restaurant nooks. Even during restaurant week don't expect to get out of here cheaply so be prepared. Chef Volkov cooks up some excellent fare and the waitstaff is attentive. Some may deem it a bit too elderly, but just remember -- they have a 98% acceptance rating for marriage proposals.

Otto impressed me from the moment I walked in. The old school train sign ticking away letting patrons know when their table is ready to the large wine bar sets the tone. The restaurant is huge and buzzing on the weekends. Their wine list is huge and they have ample choices on the "tasting" menu if you want to try a few carafes. The food is decent, but don't expect too much. Their sides are worth trying -- meats and cheeses especially. Pastas didn't wow any of us, but they weren't bad either. A great place for a relaxed dinner.

Welcome to SoupCity!! They have so many soups that change on a regular basis it would be a great spot if they didn't cost so much. It is only soup after all. But it is also New York after all.

I only went for the takeout dessert line as I had just eaten brunch, but the desserts are in the eyes of Tony the Tiger -- gggggrrrreat. We had their brownie chocolate cookie and two of their puddings (strawberry and peanut butter). The brownie/cookie was amazing and we finished it before we had walked across Union Square. The puddings were very rich - especially the peanut butter crunch one -- but also excellent. The place was mobbed and I guess it is regularly like that as it recently opened and it was on the weekend.
