Unfortunately, the highlight of the evening was being seated by a friendly host. The waitress was worse than inattentive (she spent a lot of time chatting with the bartender) and the food ranged from poor to mediocre. Though the clam chowder was good, the entrees were uninspired (a seafood plate; Greek plate; mushroom ravioli; Brazilian beans and rice). I guess this really is where the locals go in the off season: in season it's a bust.
One of our favorite traditions: Get an interesting beer from the excellent wine/beer store next door and bring it to Dabbawalla for some very good Indian food. (Our wine expert told us that a nice Belgian beer, like LaChouffe, actually goes better with Indian food than any wine - and he was right). True, the dishes take a little time to prepare - and make sure you order the naan very first thing - but everything is fresh and worth the wait.

Spending a lot of time on the Cape, we always enjoy this very friendly fine-dining restaurant. The seafood is as it should be, the salad bar is the best on the Cape and the martini selection hits all the high spots. A relaxing, Wellfleet experience.

A lovely, warm decor with very good food. The fact that it's BYOB is just frosting on the cake. The porcini-stuffed ravioli was a delight, as were the offerings that my table-mates had. The dessert selection is just a tad disappointing, but the quality is good. It's tough to beat this place for a romantic date.
