Indian restaurants USED to pride themselves on their ability to produce lovely flavors with spices. Now, you can't even taste any of the spices . . .
Ordered EVERYTHING mild, had to send EVERYTHING back. Tamarind sauce used to be a lovely sweet cooling sauce for the OCCASIONAL over-peppered item; now even their tamarind sauce containst SO MUCH chili oil, there is an OIL SLICK on top.
Note to kitchens: jalapenos are VEGETABLES, not a spice.
Senior bowling group, most on very limited means. Had annual Christmas dinners here, but keep getting served unordered salads (extra). Complained about having to remove the salads, then complained about people bringing in their own wine, & not eating - not even applicable to our group, all were eating. Tried to bargain with us ("$1.50? $1.25? $1? OK, 75 cents!"). Some timids kept them, so they made $70, cheating a bunch of seniors. Beyond belief!
