Had good lunch - high hopes for early Friday night dinner before busy. Dissapointing - ridiculous patterned plates prevent you seeing the food properly - white please, cold bread, staff going through the motions discussing personal lifes whilst sat down in the entrance. Biggest let down the bouillabaisse which I've eaten in Marseille - flour dipped shrimp and scallops?? overcooked fish - sauce made from the fish soup. Owners notably absent.
SG has moved from being excellent to deeply mediocre. Over the last two years and I beleive in line with a change in ownership the quality has slumped. The food is clearly not cooked fresh as orders are ready in a few minutes. Previously excellent ribs and dumplings are now only average. Veg is soggy and overcooked - they need to get the standards back to to the levels of three years ago.
A deeply mediocre culinary experience on the occasions I have dined here. Despite a promising bistro style French menu the food manages to achieve extraordinary levels of blandness. Management who just don't get it - such as cramming twos into tables for two when the restaurant is empty and a barely disguised lack of interest in the customers. Most of the clientele are on life support systems so they probably don't notice. Poor.

Dined here in anticipation but the reality was somewhat of a disappointment. Pleasant greeting by the owner was followed by strangely robotic service experience thereafter. The onion & tomato salad was shocking comprising largely of thick sliced red onions & the special stuffed mushrooms topped with a thick glue of breadcrumbs. Pasta was also a poor pick - lobster ravioli had no lobster & very bland sauce although good pasta itself- poor overall
