Even though Westwood has lost it's luster, they still have an In an Out where I can get the double double animal style with consistent quality. Go for the burgers but it you want fries, either order the extra crispy or go elsewhere.

Tommy's is legend and a favorite of patrons that range from USC students and folks who arrive in limos in black tie attire. After all, what's more comforting than a chile cheese dog or a triple cheeseburger if you're really famished. If you're in LA, this place is not to be missed.

This is a place to see celebs and to be seen. While food and service are good, the people watching is likely to be the most interesting aspect of your dining experience. During our most recent visit, both Jennifer Aniston and Lionel Richie were dining. One of my favorite experiences at this place is dining al fresco.

While in DC, we wanted to experience a Jose Andres eatery and landed at this establishment. Opting for the Amelia Simmons tasting menu which allows the chef to deliver a sampling of their best efforts most of which was delightful but disjointed. It begins with something sweet (hush puppys) and progresses to the more savory. While all was good, we often had trouble connecting the dots.
