Some of the best and most reliable Tex-Mex in San Antonio - not trivial for this city! Consistently good food, great enchiladas, cold beer. Just what you are looking for!

Yummy..... The soup is to die for. Best place to eat in downtown.

2 visits - Sunday brunch; the menu is a little limited on Sundays but has the basics - chilaquiles are excellent and well-seasoned, the barbacoa was "to die for" and Dona Mari's mole was fine - a good, but not great mole. We also like that you can get into El Mirador for breakfast w/o a long wait. Parking isn't the greatest. The atmosphere is fine and service was responsive. El Mirado probably isn't a favorite place, but is a solid choice.

Not sure what was worse...the canned taste of the refried beans or the waitress that kept checking her phone instead of our order
