2 sundays ago i went to mompou my glass had lipstick on it. The sangria tasted like pure orange juice. The waitress poured out my sangria and never offered to replace the sangria she poured out. The food was ok. When i asked the waitress what does tapas come with only because it was my first time there and didnot know whats tapas were. she responded tapas come with just tapas.R u serious! what kind of response is that.i never will go there again
Very reasonable price with the city feel. Calamari and squid were very fresh and tasty. We also had the special filet mignon and it melts in your mouth! The cocktails were very tasty also. Recommend anyone from the city to check it out!
Probably,the hippest tapas lounge in Newark. It would be on par with anything in NYC. The wine and drinks are great. The owner conducted a wine tasting in my building at 1180. His knowledge of Spanish was awesome. The place has great staff and fun. I love this place. I take all of my out-of-town to dispell the Newark negative. There are usually shocked that the restaurant and the Ironbound are not place they thought it would be.
Totally fun and indulgent place to eat and drink in Newark. Take out-of-towners and blow them away at how cool Newark is.
Love this place! It's not for the meat and potatoes crowd, though. You order multiple small dishes and share. Great wine list. Outdoor seating in back in summer. Wine tasting/food pairings 1st Wed night of the month for just $45. A bargain. Wine at tasting is usually okay, but the food if fantastic! Can't beat the price.
