I was a little skeptical about going to a French restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the hanger steak, which came with fries and mixed greens. It was very good. I did have a bite of a friend's Kobe steak (steak is from Australia) and it was even better! Both steaks were in the $20 range. A very fair price for what we got. Our waiter was there when we needed him and did not rush us off when we had finished eating.
French fries to die for, authentic feel, and a great reprieve from the relatively standard fare surrounding Dupont.
Madame at the door greets; monsieur takes the order while les jeunes converse and titter in proper bistro style. The food is reminiscent, not elegant rather raised home style with strong and distinct flavors-Chestnut soup overly redolent with applewood smoked bacon yet smooth and luscious; proper frisee salad with intensely rich warm cream dressing; good hanger steak cooked as order and lovely crisp fries. Un bon repast!
Pretty good, but not great French bistro food. Mnay steak items. They are fairly new and still struggling to hit their stride
What a great find. Very authentic bistro food. Many well executed classics.
