The trick to eating at Brasserie Jo is to sit AT THE BAR have a kick butt Martini and order the Skirt Steak with the Frittes. Perfect evening............
A classic bistro -- not good, but classic. Telling them when you have theater tickets doesn't always speed the service. Service is hit-or-miss, depending totally on your server and, perhaps, whether the chef in in the right mood. Food is spotty -- last night, for example, the cod and mussels were really good; other times we were not so lucky. Wine list has some reasonably priced, very drinkable French wines.
Standard, reliable, American.
Have the chocolate mousse and then go home.
