Not your neighborhood Mexican. Impeccable knowledgeable service, pleasant surroundings and food not found this side of Mexico City. The guacomole, made at table is to die for.

While it is not your typical Mexican place, there is no disputing the quality here. The decor is modern, albeit a bit cool, and the prices are high for the genre, but the dishes are full of color and delicious flavor. Their meats are cooked to perfection; their table-side guacamole is simple and perfect, and their margaritas feature great tequilas. The staff is attentive, and has never failed to enable me to make curtain time at Lincoln Center.

The menu is limited, and the quality is high. I really want to try the other appetizers, but every time at least someone HAS TO have the guacamole. We enjoy the location (near Lincoln Center), and the service has always been friendly despite the crowds. Service is efficient without rushing one. Sometimes on short notice we have been shoehorned in, with the warning they "only have a table available until xx:xx".

Really bad showing last night; boring margaritas (even when I asked for the classic t o be made with Cointreau), boring tasteless guacamole, way too expensive menu. Service was pleasant enough but full of mistakes. Toloache is so much better at this point
