I was afraid that we had picked the wrong time to eat here. Friday afternoon lunch was packed. But we had just flown in from Miami with no reservation and hoped for the best. Well, as expected, it was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth our time. The food was absolutely perfect and the energy and vibe were intoxicating...I'm not sure why it's only rated a 23 in food. It's some of the best I've had in NYC. Just went again... was amazing.

Steak frites is worth the trip. French fries may be the best on the planet. Busy, crazy, and a bit hectic, but the atmosphere is invigorating without being exhausting. Great wine for sipping and cocktails are worth the wait. Sides are adequate. Avoid the weekend lunch press.
