The best tandoori in the town and the authentic indian streetfood experience. If you dont mind the crowd, people trying to grab your table and chair and too much oil in your food, then this place rocks. Afterall that makes it the true indian street food experience. But make no mistake, the authentic recipes are not compromised here giving you preparations that are worth the wait.

Good selection of Indo-Pak; Food is fresh, not oily or salty -- The tandoori lamb chops (about $8) are my personal favorite Always crowded with Asians. A good sign!

Like they say the best places to eat at are the "Hole in the Wall" restaurants. Hands down this is the best tasting Indian Food that is most affordable in S.F. The Jones location is my favorite their food is always consistent. People drive from miles away just to eat there. The other high price restaurants that charge an arm and a leg for their stuff are put to shame-and they know it. They only hope that no one finds out the Shalimar exists!

Good Indian food. Better than Naan-n-Curry.
