Andre's is the sweet spot in the heart of the Heartland, a juxtaposition of fine European dining fresh from the Kansas City "cowtown." Andre's Restaurant boasts a continually rotating palate of so-not-the-ordinary (consistently extraordinary) daily specials. In addition, Andre's has the best daily assortment of pastries, candies, tortes and treats this side of heaven, gorgeously displayed in a glass case in the entry. Elegance meet decadence!

Menu can get boring. Only choice is the daily special which is the same depending on the day of the week you visit. No choices. My recent visit on a Wed for lunch was delightful. Service can be unattentive, but effecient.

A Kansas City institution with great cakes, cookies and chocolates. The food is Swiss comfort food, lunch only.

Plaza location - usually go for pickup (bakery goods as well as some prepared foods). Generally good, although service is often slow in the restaurant.

I ususally only go for lunch, which is consistantly good, but seems to be overpriced now compared to past years.
