Food varies from very good to pretty basic. The service can also be attentive or chaotic if crowded. Beware of crowds!!!

My family and I have eaten at Gusto many times when we've travelled to NYC to see family. All dining experiences have been nothing short of superb. The sapce, service & above all the food has been some of the finest culinary experiences we have had the fortune to experience! A wonderful experience here at Gusto - I had the pork loin with trotters but I started with the sardines - which were breaded and the envy of all my dining partners. It is a nice casual space - very airy and the service is excellent. I love that there is no attitude here and you will definitely get good food. Plus the happy hour wine deal cannot be beat.

Excellent, tasty pastas, a bit pricey, HUGE glasses of wine, decor/atmosphere doesn't match the prices.

The dark subdued step-down main eating area faces an attractive bar which serves very creative seasonal drinks. The standard menu items are good but it's the specials that really make this restaurant stand out among the west village crowd. Filleted dover sole and pasta specials are outstanding and the ala carte sides are worth the extra $$$.
