Tim Zagat is the co-Founder, co-Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Zagat Survey®. He earned an LL.B. from Yale Law School in 1966 and a B.A. from Harvard College in 1961. Between college and law school, Tim was Vice President of the United States National Student Association and Director of Reading Material Programs for the Peace Corps. After law school, he was a litigator for 20 years, the last seven of which as Chief Litigation Counsel of Gulf & Western Industries, Inc.
Tim has served in various prominent civic, cultural and charitable capacities. He is currently a board member of the Partnership for NYC, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and NYC & Company, the official marketing, promotion and tourism arm of New York City, which he chaired twice. For his role in responding to 9/11, Tim received the Legion d'Honneur from the French Government.
The Zagats were recognized as Entrepreneurs of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2000 and in 2001 were inducted into New York University's Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. They are also inductees of the Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor and the James Beard Who's Who in Food & Beverage, are Fellows of the Culinary Institute of America, and have served on the White House Conference on Travel and Tourism.
Tim and his wife, Nina, have been married since 1965 and have two adult sons, Ted and John.

Nina Zagat is the co-Founder and co-Chair of Zagat Survey. Along with her husband Tim, Nina oversees the Company's global operations and expansion, including its entry into new U.S. and international markets, leisure categories and content platforms, web and wireless ventures.
Nina earned an LL.B. from Yale Law School in 1966 and an A.B. from Vassar College in 1963. Following law school, Nina spent 24 years as an attorney at the Wall Street law firm of Shearman & Sterling. Nina attended Le Cordon Bleu Ecole de Cuisine when she and Tim were practicing law in Paris.
In addition to the numerous merits she and Tim have received, Nina was named one of the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World by the Star Group in 2001, one of Crain's Top Tech 100, featuring New York City's most influential people in technology in 2001, and one of Crain's New York 100 Most Influential Women in 2007.
Nina has been married to her husband, Tim, since 1965, and has two sons, Ted and John.
