It's not just food that we crave; every once in a while the need for a certain type of liquor hits and it must be satisfied. For some, it's bourbon, for others, a nip of good scotch gets the job done. Agave Spirits (Tequila, Mescal & Sotol)

This Downtowner is all about the agave. Expect small-batch spirits and the best frozen margaritas in town. Bonus: there's tamales, chips and salsa and a pool table.

El Gran Malo or El Big Bad

Infused tequilas get the job done at this pair of "gastrocantinas," one in the Heights and the newest in Downtown. They've got great food to pair with those tasty tequilas, so come hungry.

The upscale Southwestern menu is as impressive as their array of tequilas. Happy hour from 3 to 7 PM Monday through Saturday is a great time to try tequila on tap for $2 off.

The Flat 

Don't blink or you might miss this Montrose hideaway known for their rum creations. DJs are always spinning, the rum is flowing and if the weather's right, the patio is usually hopping.
