May is National Burger Month, and while we don’t really need another reason to bite into a burger, we’ll take any excuse. Even better, several restaurants are running deals and specials of the day, so you won’t have to shell out or deal with burger boredom as you eat your way through May 31. Here are five places around Philadelphia where you can celebrate with prime patties.

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant

There’s a different burger every single day at all 10 locations of this Delaware-based brewpub, including the one in Chestnut Hill. If you make it your mission to try five of them, you’ll get a $15 Iron Hill gift card. Our picks? The Godfather Burger with capicola and long hots on May 14 looks killer, as does the Jersey Diner Burger (Taylor pork roll, fried egg) on May 18. Check out the full list here.

The Pop Shop

Hop on a PATCO train to this Collingswood diner, where each day also brings a new burger special. There’s a French Onion Soup Burger with Gruyère and onion jam (May 10), a Cheesesteak Wit’ Burger topped with sliced beef and provolone (May 23) and the month finishes with the mac ‘n’ cheese Mac Daddy Burger. View the full schedule here.

729 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ; 856-869-0111

Glenmorgan Bar & Grill

At this Wayne tavern, burger specials change week by week, and you can pair it with a bottle of Great Divide Nomad Pilsner for just $3. This week brings the Rise & Shine Patty Melt, which is kind of like a burger crossed with a croque madame, filled with bacon jam inside.

593 E. Lancaster Ave., Wayne; 610-341-3188

The Farm and Fisherman Tavern & Market

Another reason to cross the river is to spend happy hour at Josh Lawler and Todd Fuller’s market-cafe. On weekdays from 4-7 PM throughout May, a custom-ground short rib and chuck blend burger with unlimited toppings is just $5. You can pile on grilled ramps, house pickles, mushrooms, cheese, potato sticks and maple BBQ sauce at no additional charge. Pair it with a $2 off cocktail.

1442 E. Rte. 70, Cherry Hill, NJ; 856-356-2282

Chef Joel Mazigian just introduced a new menu with a special burger section to this 11th and Chestnut cafe and bar. Seven different combos are available for $11-$16, including a Southern Burger with tasso ham and a Surf ‘n’ Turf Burger with lumb crab and charred corn mayo. Add a second patty and make it a double for $5 more.
