Your weekend eating-and-drinking checklist has arrived, and it involves a lot of free food — chilaquiles and birthday cake plus some cheap donuts.

Your weekend of free food starts with brunch at Mas. The West Loop Mexican restaurant kicks off its new brunch menu by giving away complimentary chilaquiles to the first 50 people to dine on Saturday and Sunday. If you miss the freebies, you can dine on pozole, torta ahogada or the "mas" benedict with poached egg, biscuit, Spanish chorizo and chipotle velouté sauce.

Stan Berman has a lot of celebrate — he’s been serving his beloved donut for 50 years, and he's celebrating his 85th birthday on Saturday. To honor its founder, Stan’s Donuts & Coffee will serve 85-cent glazed donuts all day on Saturday. Additionally, the first 100 customers receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Bar Toma is breaking in 12 new taps with a new dish-drink combo deal. Enjoy a pint of Great Lakes’ Edmund Fitzgerald, Revolution’s Cross of Gold or Peroni’s Nastro Azzur with beer mussels for $16.

To celebrate Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse's three-year anniversary, the restaurant is giving a complimentary slice of its 23-layer cake to everyone eating in the dining room between 5-11 PM on Saturday.

Since you are saving all this money, splurge on a $60 sharable summer cocktail at Billy Sunday. It comes in a watermelon, serves two (with a free refill) and is made with frozen sake, sparkling wine and booze-infused fruit.
