Parting is such sweet sorrow, particularly when we’re bidding “adieu” to summer. But if the season has to go, we’ll send it out in sumptuous style. Boston star chef Barbara Lynch (No. 9 Park, Sportello, et al.) will host her Second Annual Summer Send-Off Pool Party on Saturday, August 24. The cool, mid-century chic Harbor Hotel in Provincetown will host surf 'n' turf stations from Lynch, Top Chef winner Kristen Kish (chef de cuisine at Lynch’s Menton) and several other Boston and Cape restaurants including Ten Tables, which has locations in both areas. Expect craft cocktails from expert mixers, cold treats from the Lewis Brothers ice cream truck, live and silent auctions, and dancing to music from TJ, the official DJ of the Red Sox. Proceeds benefit the Barbara Lynch Foundation, focused on providing leadership resources to empower local families. Tickets are here ($145 for 6 PM general admission; $195 for 5 PM VIP).
