Boston's own WGBH is producing the new PBS series Moveable Feast With Fine Cooking, which premieres Saturday, September 7. The 13-episode series sounds something like The Amazing Race meets Chopped, with celeb chef Pete Evans trotting across the country and challenging chefs to prepare farm-to-table pop-up dinners in unique, challenging and generally exciting settings: from sourcing local ingredients to pulling together the final feast. A newly released episode guide spotlights a number of Boston area chefs on the horizon, so fire up the DVR. On October 5, chef Chris Schlesinger (former longtime owner of East Coast Grill) and his cookbook coauthor, food editor Doc Willoughby, take a sunset quahogging adventure on the Westport coast. On October 12, chefs Ken Oringer (Boston's Clio, Uni, Coppa, Toro, La Verdad) and Matt Jennings (Providence's Farmstead Inc.) prepare a dinner party on a roof deck overlooking Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. And on November 16, chef Jeremy Sewall (Island Creek Oyster Bar, Lineage) joins Boston sustainable seafood activist Barton Seaver and Skip Bennett, owner of Island Creek Oysters, as they forage for their feast in Duxbury's Atlantic waters.
