Great thing about Saturday mornings when you were a kid: hours and hours of cartoons. Great thing about Saturday mornings as an adult: brunch.

In a brilliant move, Cantina Los Caballitos is planning to combine the two. Starting on the first Saturday of the new year (January 3), the East Passyunk favorite will be turning its heated patio into a showcase for the best cartoons from ages past. Projected onto a big screen from 10 AM-4 PM will be reruns of everything from Josie and the Pussycats to The Jetsons to He-Man to The Flintstones.

Match the toons with Mexican morning bites like chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, and make the whole experience even more surreal by getting tipsy on drafts and margaritas while you watch. Pajama attire (including footies) is highly encouraged.

Also of note, that same projection screen will do double-duty on Thursday nights, when a double feature of popular and cult-fave flicks will start at 8 PM. Ancho-dusted popcorn will be available for $5, along with changing cocktail and snack specials to keep you happy as you watch comedies, sci-fi, horror and more. The first show date hasn’t been set yet, but look for it in the next week or so.
