Do you like pork, chefs and copious amounts of alcohol? Then, boy, do we have the event for you. Tickets to the 2014 Cochon 555 are now on sale, and an evening of sustainable farming and heritage-bred pigs is in store. The name comes from the five chefs, five pigs and five winemakers featured throughout the event. This year is no different, with five local chefs including Abraham Conlon of Fat Rice and Giuseppe Tentori from GT Fish & Oyster preparing a 200 pound pig and an assortment of dishes for guests. The winner, as voted on by the crowd and panel of judges, will be crowned the Prince of Porc. Last year’s winner was Cosmo Goss of Publican Quality Meats. In addition to the porky goodness, five bartenders can get in on the action with the Punch Kings competition.
Tickets to the April 13 event cost $130 or $208 for VIP early entry and are available online.
