Tacombi's long-awaited West Village expansion has arrived. The taco-fueled brand, which began with co-owner and founder Dario Wolos selling tacos out of his Volkswagon bus on the beaches of Playa del Carmen, is opening its fourth NYC outpost with Tacombi Bleecker Street on October 10. Head chef Jason Debriere (formerly of Peels) helped conceptualize this latest incarnation, which features a variety of Yucatan specialties including puffed tortilla salbutes, panuncho with lechón (puffed tortilla filled with beans and suckling pig), fish tacos and more. The 70-seat space — complete with open kitchen and bar seating — is lined with exposed brick and hand-painted tile as well as string lights dangling from the rafters.
