Prep your palate for a sampling of culinary art from restaurants around the country. FT33 chef-owner Matt McCallister has unveiled this year’s list of noteworthy kitchen leaders who will pop into his Design District restaurant as guest chefs.
For the uninitiated, the guest chef program invites stars from far-flung restaurants to work alongside McCallister to create an eight-course meal, each dish rotating from one chef to the other. In our experience, it tastes as exquisite as it sounds, especially since McCallister leans toward inviting chefs who share his finesse with and adoration of uber-seasonal, local and even foraged ingredients.
This year’s dinners are each $110 per person, and an additional $50 for wine pairings. Reservations are required, and you’ll want to get on the good foot about it, as the guest chef dinners usually sell out. Beginning next month, the meals will take place at FT33 on the third Monday of every month through September. Chef appearances are as follows:
February 17: Chef Richard Kuo, Pearl & Ash
March 17: Chef Bryce Gilmore, Barley Swine
April 21: Chef Benjamin Sukle, birch Restaurant
May 19: Chef Jason Dady, The Jason Dady Restaurant Group
June 16: Chef Matthew Jennings, Farmstead
July 21: Chef Brandon Baltzley, CRUX, TMIP
August 18: Chef Seth Siegel-Gardner, The Pass & Provisions
