Stylish Chinatown-area brunch destination, Dimes, has moved out of its sliver-sized digs on Division Street to a space around the corner at 49 Canal. The menu is getting an upgrade too with new lunch dishes like pitaya bowls (mango raspberry with banana, coconut milk, coconut flakes, buckwheat hemp, and mint) and nori wraps like crunchy veggie and tuna. For dinner, you'll find new small plates like duck rillettes, grilled treviso and grilled maitake toast and new large plates like bar steak with white sweet potato and lacinato kale gratin; and red curry mussels. The new space, which is 2.5 times larger, will also be open continuously throughout the day, serving an "in-between" menu from 4-6PM and will boast a full liquor license with cocktails by Arley Marks. The old Dimes space will be transformed into a market of sorts offering fresh produce, apothecary items, dry goods and grab and go food items.
