Upper Kirby sushi bar and Japanese restaurant Kata Robata is giving people a chance to taste the exotic (and sometimes dangerous) fugu for a limited time. The Japanese delicacy comes from the poisonous pufferfish or blowfish, though when prepared properly, is safe for human consumption. Kata's chef Manabu Horiuchi is one of a handful of U.S. chefs certified to prepare the potentially poisonous fish for the public, which requires up to 11 years of training. The thrill of eating the famed, and sometimes feared fish will cost you around $35 for five pieces and will be available through early next year.
