Oysters are everywhere these days and nobody's complaining (well, as long as they're shucked correctly). There are fantastic restaurants with raw bars – like Fishing With Dynamite and Water Grill – serving the best East and West Coast oysters, but sometimes you want to get your fill on the cheap. That's when oyster happy hour comes in handy. Thank goodness just about every neighborhood around LA has one. Here's where to find the best, from Downtown to the beach. This will come in handy on National Oyster Day on August 5.

Downtown LA: For its social hour, Faith & Flower offers $1 oysters (5–6:30 PM, Sunday–Thursday). At Drago Centro you can get four oysters for $8, all day every day at the bar only. In the Arts District, Cerveteca features $1 oysters for happy hour (3–6 PM, Tuesday–Sunday), but you can only get one dozen per table. For Nick & Stef's 5-6-7 happy-hour menu (2–7 PM, Monday–Friday), oysters are $2 a piece when ordered by the half dozen.
Silver Lake: It’s an oyster power hour at Cliff’s Edge every Thursday night on the patio with $1 oysters from 6–7 PM. At L&E Oyster Bar, where oysters are king every day, they’re $12 for a half dozen from 5–7 PM, Monday–Friday. Barbrix has $1 oysters at the bar all night on Mondays (while supplies last); go in for happy hour until 7:30 PM for drink specials to go with them. Knuckle & Claw has expanded beyond just lobster rolls, now offering freshly shucked oysters every day. On Thursdays, they're only $1 from 5–10 PM.
Koreatown: It’s known for everything from lobster rolls to clam chowder, but EMC Seafood has great happy-hour specials from 4–7 PM every day, including $1 oysters. From 10 PM till close, they’re $1.25.
Hollywood: At The Hungry Cat, all oysters are half price all day on Mondays. Cocktails are on special all day, as well.

Beverly Grove: Along Beverly Boulevard, Market Provisions always has $1 oysters from 9 PM until closing every day. On West Third, Blue Plate Oysterette offers six oysters grilled, fried on the half shell for $10 (4–6 PM, Monday–Friday).
West Hollywood: Connie & Ted's features six oysters for $10, along with other food and drink specials (4–6 PM, Monday–Friday). Get $1 oysters grilled, chilled or fried at Pearl’s Liquor Bar on Tuesday nights (5:30 PM until they run out).
Beverly Hills: At Bar Bouchon, the $2 happy-hour oysters go pretty well with $4 beers, $5 glasses of wine and $7 cocktails Monday–Fridays, 4–7 PM. Ocean Prime has $1 oysters on Fridays (2–10 PM) throughout the summer, but also $5 off raw-bar offerings when you sit in the lounge (4–8 PM, Monday–Friday).
Culver City: Three oysters for $8 isn't the best budget-friendly deal in the city, but when you can get an $8 Beau du Bois cocktail alongside them at The Corner Door, that's money (5–7 PM daily). It's pretty simple at Tangaroa Fish Market & Raw Bar – $2 oysters, $5 draft beer, $8 wines by the glass (3–7 PM, Tuesday–Friday; 4–6 PM, Saturday and Sunday).

Santa Monica: Get oysters for $1.50 and oyster shooters for $2 at Enterprise Fish Company Monday–Saturday, 4–7 PM, Sundays from 8-10 PM, and late nights on Friday and Saturday from 9–11 PM. Oysters are $2 each at The Lobster Monday–Friday from 4:30–6:30 PM, along with some pretty sweet drink deals ($6). Herringbone has $1 oysters and bubbles for only $6 (4:30–6:30 PM, Monday–Friday). Like its Silver Lake sibling, the new Westside Knuckle & Claw has $1 oysters on Thursdays from 5–10 PM. On Montana Avenue, Ox & Son has $2 oysters along with other food and drink deals every day (3–6 PM).
South Bay: In Manhattan Beach, get oysters for $1.95 at Fishbar (2:30–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday), and for a buck on Mondays at The Rockefeller gastropub. In Hermosa Beach, they're three for $5 for Dia de Campo's Bandito Power Hour (5–7 PM, Monday–Thursday, and 3–7 PM on Friday). And at Hermosa Beach Fish Shop, find $1 oysters on Thursday nights from 4 PM until they run out.
Venice: The Anchor features $2 oysters on the half shell along with $5 beers and $9 glasses of wine (Tuesday–Sunday 4–6 PM).
