Galen Zamarra’s top-rated West Village spot, Mas (farmhouse), returns this weekend after a kitchen fire devastated the restaurant a year ago.

Zamarra, the 2001 James Beard Rising Star award winner, will keep Mas’s farm-to-table concept the same but in a newly designed space from Isabella Patrick and architect Ben Albury, who both designed Zamara's other restaurant, the now-closed, Almanac. Guests will recognize certain elements of the rustic-chic space, but new additions include a concrete bar, cork wall coverings, new banquettes and back dining space with a custom etched glass.

Halibut wrapped in leeks.

Like the original Mas (farmhouse) the menu will frequently rotate but feature some new and old favorites like roasted scallops in sweet corn soup with tarragon, Long Island duck with beet and coconut puree, and halibut with leeks. Pastry chef Jana Kern-Mireles returns too. Also look for seasonal cocktails, a deep wine menu and refreshed beer list emphasizing small-batch, artisan brews.

Mas (farmhouse) opens Saturday, July 1 for dinner.
