NYC Cleans Up at the 2015 James Beard Awards

The Big Apple swept major categories like Best New Restaurant and Outstanding Chef

NYC swept most of the major categories at last night's James Beard Foundation Awards, held for the first-time ever in Chicago. Bâtard, Drew Nieporent's sensibly priced tasting menu spot in TriBeCa won Best New Restaurant, Gramercy Tavern's Michael Anthony won Outstanding Chef (who is now busy with his brand-new Untitled at the Whitney), Blue Hill at Stone Barns won Outstanding Restaurant, Jim Lahey (Sullivan St. Bakery) won Outstanding Baker, Momofuku Milk Bar chef Christina Tosi won Outstanding Pastry Chef (she previously won Rising Star Chef in 2012) and Del Posto's Marc Ladner won Best Chef NYC.
