We brought out the big guns for Chicago’s first #ZagatPowerHour, 60 minutes of serious snacking and cocktailing with some of this year’s Chicago 30 Under 30 honorees. Those who happened to be at Drumbar at 6 PM on Friday (or who follow us on Twitter) were surprised when we picked up the tab for specialty cocktails, including the Solberg Solstice using Rhine Hall brandy. The pink cocktail was bar manager Alex Renshaw’s way of honoring fellow honoree and founder of Rhine Hall, Jenny Solberg.
In addition to the copious cocktails, food was covered by two more honorees. Dan Salls of The Salsa Truck slung al pastor and carne asada tacos while Dave and Megan Miller of Bang Bang Pie provided two different types of mini pies: a Key lime and a Nutella cheesecake marked with the Zagat “Z.”
