Tonight, September 22, marks the debut of Squares, the lovingly kitschy nightclub from Quality Branded hospitality group (Quality Meats, Quality Italian, Quality Eats). This marks the NoMad neighborhood's first major nightlife opening in years and along with it...an 80's inspired theme that means square-shaped food and Lego accents.

The space is sleek but nostalgic, channeling 1980s style while reinventing the classic New York society club. Expect plenty of retro irony, like the Lego Mule cocktail (a spicy spin on the Moscow Mule served in a Lego — yes, Lego — mug) and mosaic-inspired walls boasting Atari 8-bit graphics (shown at top). Small bites — including deviled eggs and and caviar/salmon checkers — are available and on theme.

Squares is open Thursday–Saturday starting at 11 PM.
