A major loss for the Upper West Side: The 24-year-old French-Mediterranean staple Picholine from chef Terrance Brennan has closed for good and will move to a new location. A statement from Brennan reads: “The lease is expiring and the rent is increasing, so staying at West 64th Street is no longer practical. Picholine has outgrown the space and I am looking forward to finding a new home and bringing the restaurant to new heights."
Picholine was known for popularizing the European cheese course and for its fine-dining atmosphere. Stay tuned for more updates as they emerge.
