The Perfect Houston-Themed Valentine's Sweets Basket

There's still time to put together a thoughtful, Houston-centric gift package for your sweetie

It's not too late to put together a thoughtful gift for Friday's big occasion if you get creative. Houston is home to a wealth of amazing food products that would make the perfect gift basket. Here are four must-have items to hunt down this week.

Fluff Bake Bar's Fluffernutters
Peanut butter and marshmallows combine to form one of the best cookies ever made. Grab a box of five for $10 by ordering here, but you only have until February 11 to do it. Proceeds benefit Lucky Dog Rescue.

Caphin bottles the sweet, intense Vietnamese coffee - filed under ideas we wish we'd thought up - and sells it all over town. Grab a few to stock your special basket and put a little more pep in your loved one's steps.

Brennan's Pralines
Since we're going with a sweet theme here, why not add those sugary little discs of joy made famous by neighboring state, Louisiana? One dozen pralines will cost $25 and can be shipped to whatever location you wish (but do it today).

Kegg's Candies
We'd be remiss if we didn't include anything of the chocolate persuasion in this gift box. Kegg's Candies is a local confection factory in town, so when you go to pick up the truffles, pecan hash or almond clusters, you can see how the candy was made.
